The Philippines is now recognized as the fastest growing economy in the Asia-Pacific rim. It is an emerging tiger economy and aspires to be at par with the rest of the tiger economies by the turn of the 21st century. To sustain and even accelerate this growth, the national strategy is to pole vault socio-economic development by the years ahead to meet the challenges of the third millennium.

To complement the developments in the private business and industry considered to be the strong factor in the dramatic turn around of the Philippine economy, the policies and strategies that provided this growth should be sustained and strengthened. The need is to redirect and reorient the various human resources of the government to the future requirements of growth through creativity, innovativeness, entrepreneurship and self-initiative for a integrative government delivery systems, supported with the latest state of the art of information technology.

Goals and Objectives

The degree program is designed to respond to the development of creative, innovative and entrepreneurial administrative managers of the various levels and agencies of the government, semi-government and non-government organizations. This will result to a more effective and efficient service delivery systems of these organizations so that these can respond competently to the needs and requirements of social and economic development of the region and the nation.

        Specifically, the program shall seek to transform a part of the bureaucracy and the private sector into:

  1. Entrepreneurial and future oriented administrative managers,

  2. Needs and research based decision makers,

  3. Technologically capable leaders who can avail of the benefits of global information,

  4. Effective and efficient processors and providers of quality services.
