Master in Aquaculture
(Ladderized Program)
The Master in Aquaculture is a ladderized program to give technological and scientific advancement leading to aquaculture development. Students who opt to take the Maq. program should finish thirty nine (39) units including thesis proper.
Goals
Provide scientific and technological training to aquaculturists who will serve as managers, extension workers, aquaculture specialists, scientific and researchers.
Develop competence in scientific research, managerial, entrepreneurial expertise in the field of aquaculture.
Objectives
Orient aquaculturists in the various aspects of aquaculture, (breeding, grow-out operations, feed development, disease prevention, etc.)
Create awareness on the importance of social, political and ecological factor affecting aquaculture business enterprises.
Undertake resource enhancement measures on proper management of inland and coastal aquaculture.
Admission Requirements
Be a baccalaureate degree holder with a GPA of 2.25 or better.
Submit the following:
a. An accomplishment application form including two(2) passport size photographs
b. Official Transcript of Records
c. Recommendation from Head of Agency or Employer
d. Detailed program of study.
